Peace in the Park Festival

Peace in the Park is a community festival organized by Lovelanders to celebrate the local movement for peace and justice. Previous peace festivals have been a tremendous success and preparations are underway for the third year. Last year about 1000 people came together to think, talk and learn about how we can create peace within ourselves and within our communities and world. Many organizations presented peace activities, individuals demonstrated their peace work, musicians and dancers performed for peace and students spoke of peace work happening within schools.
The 2009 Peace in the Park is gearing up to be even better with more community involvement and ideas for helping to popularize peace as a preferable way of living.
