Page 2 of Activities Sidewalk Peace Murals -- Professional artists, led by Jenifer Cline, will create a peace mural on the sidewalk of the park and assist amateurs in collaborating on a second peace mural. Remember how much fun it was to write on the sidewalk when you were young? Here’s a chance for children of all ages to bring their creativity to Loveland’s sidewalks. Conflict Resolution Skits -- People at every age disagree, sometimes very seriously. For this activity, kids will be the teachers. Some top notch students will entertain you with skits demonstrating how to resolve conflicts peacefully. Dance for Peace -- The Dance Theatre of Loveland, directed by Wanda Tierney, will perform. Dances of Universal Peace, led by Sa’ra Rain, will give you a chance to participate. Put on your happy feet. Leave your fears and worries behind and join in the dances. Let the rhythm of peace flow through your body. |

Post-secondary peace and justice studies -- Do you ever ask yourself: What shall I be when I grow up? Or maybe you are grown up and you wonder what will I be when I REALLY grow up. Either way, opportunities await you in the fields of peace and justice. Stop by our post-secondary booth. Parachute -- Children are taught peace by working/playing peacefully. The parachute game is one very active way to practice cooperation. White Dove Release -- Doves are the quintessential symbol of world peace. Their release will provide a moment of somber reflection as we watch them fly over festival participants. “May all people in the world be released from injustice and live in peace.” |
